CBS paid Eliza Dushku $9.5M over Sexual Harassment on set of ‘Bull’ and wrote her off the Show for Complaining

According to the recent news of the New York Times, more bad news has emerged about the poor handling of the CBS Network of its employees regarding the sexual harassment cases. The story this time is connected to an incident of 2017, which happened on the set of the CBS Network’s hit show “Bull”. The incident occurred between the actress of the show Eliza Dushku and the actor Michael Weatherly.

The actress went on to complain to the higher ups of the CBS Network about the mistreatment from the Bull’s star Weatherly. According to Dushku, he made a series of inappropriate comments to her onset that made her extremely uncomfortable. The higher ups, instead of questioning Weatherly, wrote Dushku off the show after she chose to enter private mediation instead of pursuing a lawsuit.

The result of this private mediation was the 9.5 million dollars payout, which was offered by CBS after their attorneys brought out a video evidence of Dushku from the outtakes of the show, which clearly disproves her claims. This was only actually some “actual captured footage of harassment” which the CBS attorneys do not even recognize as harassment even when they saw it.

CBS, shortly after the whole matter ended, released a statement responding to the events, which is as follows.

“The allegations in Ms. Dushku’s claims are an example that, while we remain committed to a culture defined by a safe, inclusive and respectful workplace, our work is far from done. The settlement of these claims was determined in a mutually agreed upon mediation process at the time.”

Dushku has signed a non-disclosure agreement as a part of her settlement with CBS. This is why she is not able to comment publically on the story. Dushku told the investigators, who were looking into her story this statement,

“You’re all I have at this point. My story is true and it’s really affected me and I can’t talk about it.”

As for Michael Weatherly, he has also declined of commenting on this story publically.
